National Organization For Marriage Panics That Shortly Same Sex Marriage Will Be The Law In Rhode Island, Bill Proposes State-Wide Protect Against Employment And Housing Discrimination For Gay Utahans, Alan Ritchson Joins 90210 As Trevor Donovan Love Interest, Harry Judd Attitude, First Look At Andrew Garfield As Spider-Man, First Look At Chris Evans As Capitan America, Rafael Nadal Shirtless And Sweaty

The Boston Globe reports that as the prospects for legalizing same sex marriage In Rhode Island, the anti-gay marriage group National Organization for Marriage launched an ad urging against government action to pass it. The ad, which began running state-wide Tuesday, and with NOM saying it spending more than $100,000 to air it for one week, implores citizens to call the offices of Governor Lincoln Chafe, House Speaker Gordon Fox, and Senate President Pavia Weed to tell them that they hold “no mandate to redefine marriage.” Chris Plante, the executive director of the Rhode Island chapter of NOM, said “With a governor that has come out in favour of it, with a House of Representatives that is going to be pushing it, their voices need to be heard now.” Governor Chafee, a former Republican United States Senator who left the GOP and became an independent in 2007, has historically supported gay marriage, using his inaugural address just last week to urge legislators to quickly consider and pass a bill legalizing same sex marriage, saying he hoped Rhode Island would “catch up to her New England neighbours.” Same sex marriages are legal in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, and New Hampshire.

ABC4 reports on Utah State Senator Ben McAdams, who has drafted a bill that promotes state-wide protections for homosexuals against housing and employment discrimination. McAdams, a married Mormon, says the bill is 30-pages long and aims do what almost a dozen Utah cities have already done, McAdams saying “You cannot be fired based on your sexual orientation or you can’t be evicted based on your sexual orientation.”

Alan Ritchson is joining 90210, playing Tripp, a former prep school roommate of Trevor Donovan’s character, Teddy, whom Teddy previously had a crush on, TV Line reporting that the very blond Ritchson will appear in an episode set on “Spring Break when the onetime BFF’s bump into each other. As Tripp recounts Teddy’s prep school rep as quite the lady-killer, things take a very interesting turn when Teddy comes out to his presumably straight pal. One unexpected lip-lock leads to another ... and then that leads to a surprising reveal.”
