Two Zimbabwean Men Caught By Landlady Pleaded Guilty To Sodomy Charges; Held In Custody Until Trial Begins December 29

28 year old Nigel Ruredzo and 29 year old Shine Njawara appeared in a Zimbabwe court and pleaded guilty to sodomy charges before a Bindura magistrate in the African nation’s northeast. The New Zimbabwe reports “The court heard that the incident occurred around 4:30 am on the 26th of November at a Bindura town house where Ruredzo and Njawara are tenants. Prosecutors said the owner of the house, Patricia Chimange, and another tenant, Russell Makau, were awakened by strange noises emanating from the pair’s room. Chimange and Makau, the court was told, entered the room and found the two being intimate. The state outline indicates that Ruredzo assumed the role of a woman. Makau is said to have subsequently assaulted them with a stick while the landlady administered a strong reprimand. The two men were remanded in custody for trial on December 29.”
