Elton John To Perform At American Foundation For Equal Rights Proposition 8 Benefit, Coming Out Blind Item, Ryan Kwanten Man Of The Year, Josh Thomas And Boyfriend Thomas Jaspers, Joe McElderry

Elton John will perform a private benefit concert at a residence in Beverly Hills, California January 19th to raise funds for the American Foundation for Equal Rights, reports NBC Los Angeles. The foundation is the sole sponsor of the court challenge to constitutional validity of the California gay marriage ban. Chad Griffin, president of the Board, said AFER “deeply honoured to have the support of Sir Elton John. The American Foundation for Equal Rights stands for the enduring principle that all Americans are created equal, and believes that ending state-sanctioned discrimination is a critical step we must take toward ending the hate crimes and suicides that continue to claim the lives of young Americans."

A blind item via Crazy Days and Nights: “I have written about this couple before, but apparently it is getting to the point where some kind of public announcement is coming. I don't remember how I described them in the past, but one is an openly gay male singer and the other is also male and a singer and is in a heterosexual marriage. Apparently, now that our married singer has ended his most recent tour, he is going to file divorce proceedings soon.
