Clint McCance Formally Resigns Fails To Offer Apology, American Armed Forces Censoring Courage Campaign Website, Trevor Donovan And Kyle Riabko On 90210’s Gay Storyline, Alan Ritchson Ridiculously Hot Blue Mountain State Scenes, Ryan Phillippe Gets As Hardcore As He Can

Clint McCance formally tendered his resignation from the Midland School Board in Arkansas Monday morning, CNN reporting that the board unanimously voted at a special meeting to accept. McCance was the vice-president of the school district in Pleasant Plains, re-elected to a four-year term in September, but his dangerous, disturbingly anti-gay comments posted to his Facebook page two weeks ago cost him the position, and hopefully much more. He announced his intention to resign Thursday during an appearance on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, and although he expressed remorse for the words and sentiments he proffered (he admitted to enjoying “the fact that faggots give each other AIDS and die”) he has failed to offer an actual apology.

The Courage Campaign, a California-based progressive advocacy group, has written a letter to Defense Secretary Robert Gates demanding that access to its site be restored before Tuesday, November 2nd, for any and all armed service members currently serving in Iraq, according to a report in The Hill. The Courage Campaign argues that Californians serving in Iraq have been blocked from accessing the site, which it says offers a voter’s guide. It is not clear why the site has been blocked; however, The Courage Campaign supports gay marriage as well as a repeal of the military ban on openly gay service members, which might serve as an explanation as to why the groups IP address is being filtered.

Trevor Donovan, who plays Teddy on 90210 and his co-star Kyle Riabko, who plays Ian, talk to TV Guide about their character’s gay storyline, which, if you haven’ been watching, you should, since it comes as close as it can to expressing the struggles of sexual orientation realistically as can on network television. “Teddy’s storyline has been how painful and confusing this situation can be, and it won’t be OK for him any time soon,” says Donovan. “Acceptance doesn’t happen overnight, like, ‘Oh! This is who I am!’ This isn’t an afterschool special. Teddy’s fighting it.” Donovan adds that seeing Teddy’s turmoil – and the self-loathing ways in which that turmoil expresses itself – makes the handling of the storyline that much more genuine, saying “No one would have guessed Teddy was gay – myself included. He was a womanizer, a hardcore athlete ... there was nothing stereotypically gay about him. He is tip-toeing into self-realization, and to me, that feels a lot more authentic.”

From the realism of 90210 to the exaggeration of Blue Mountain State, the most accidentally on purpose gay series on television and its star attraction Alan Ritchson seen in the second season premiere having a shirtless (natch) dream of the most homo-erotic variety. (Site NSFW)

Ryan Phillippe, all hardcore hotness, spotted Saturday leaving the home of Kate Hudson in a hurry, accompanied by a dog, who is actually Amanda Seyfried.
