Republican California Gubernatorial Candidate Carly Fiorina Refuses To Remove National Organization For Marriage Sponsored Anti-Gay Campaign Ad That Deliberately Misleads Latin America Voters
NBC News reports that California Republican gubernatorial candidate Carly Fiorina has steadfastly refused to condemn an attack advertisement created on her behalf by a Republican group and the National Organization for Marriage claiming that Democrat candidate Barbara Boxer “doesn’t share our values” because she supports civil rights for gays and she opposed immigration reform. The ad, in Spanish, directed at California’s Latin American constituents, contains fallacious statements – Boxer having historically advocated avenues of citizenship for undocumented workers, guest worker programs, and temporary visas. The anti-gay contentions of the ad are as offensive, fear tactics employed again by NOM.
