Pentagon Survey Finds Majority Of Personal Favour Repeal Of Military Ban On Openly Gay Personal, Sophia Bush Addresses The Games Anti-Gay Hate And Gets Labelled A Racist, Angels In American Opens To Glowing Praise, Chris Pine On Set Sexiness

A majority of active-duty and reserve United States service members and their families surveyed by the Defense Department would not object to serving and living alongside openly gay personal, according to NBC News as reported by the Associated Press, both of whom referenced an anonymous source. The results of the Pentagon survey are thought to be included in a report due December 1st to President Obama regarding how the military would go about ending enforcement of the policy known as “don’t ask don’t tell.”Some, but far from a majority of those surveyed objected strongly to the idea of serving with openly gay service members, and suggested that they would end their military careers if the policy were repealed. The survey is based on 400,000 questionnaires sent in July by the Pentagon and although the Defense Department would not comment, it is believed that an estimated 103,000 surveys were completed prior to the due date.

Previously I posted about The Game and his anti-gay hate tweet, and now Sophia Bush – an ally of the gay community – has taken to Twitter to offer a response of sorts, the One Tree Hill star writing “Homophobia is the new racism. It depresses me to see men like 50 Cent and The Game, who are minorities, supporting bigotry. So, so sad.”

The New York City revival of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America opened Thursday, the reviews ranging from “powerful” to “relevant” to “soaring,” the New York Times praising the reinterpretation of the canonized work and of an “excellent” Zachary Quinto.

Quinto’s Star Trek co-star, the perfect Chris Pine, spotted on set in Vancouver Thursday, hard at work on the upcoming film This Means War.
