Hung Jury In Trial Of 18 Year Old John Katehis Accused Of Murdering Openly Gay George Weber

The trial of 18 year old John Katehis, accused of murdering 47 year old George Weber, ended Thursday in a hung jury, the New York Daily News reporting that “One lone juror was the holdout, refusing to vote with the 11 others who stood ready to convict” Katehis. Weber, a WABC New York newsman, went online to hire the then 16 year old Katehis off Craigslist to act out a staged sadomasochist scene. That went horribly wrong, and Weber ended up stabbed multiple times, and despite the “50 stab wounds Weber suffered, the unidentified female juror holdout “refused to believe they proved intent. Prosecutor Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi promised a new trial.
