Attorneys For San Francisco File Brief Arguing Proposition 8 Sponsors Sole Intent Was To Deny Same Sex Couples “The Honoured Stature” of Marriage, Horrible Anti-Gay Chant At Ohio High School Football Game, Wal-Mart Carrying Anti-Gay Book Suggesting Homosexuals Can Be Cured, Television Actress Wanted To Come Out But Was Warned Not To, Chris Pine And Tom Hardy Sex Up Vancouver

The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that attorneys for the city filed a brief with the Ninth United States Circuit Court of Appeals, arguing that proponents of Proposition 8 failed to create a constitutionally concrete case for excluding gay Californians from marriage while simultaneously allowing their rights to raise children to remain intact. The attorneys argues that the 2008 voter amendment’s sole intent was to deny same sex couples of “the honoured stature” of marriage and avoid having anyone “view gay relationships are OK.” Attorneys for the two same sex couples who successfully challenged the constitutional validity of Proposition 8 are scheduled to file their own answer to the appeal late Monday evening.

Eastlake School District Superintendent Keith Miller said “It is completely unacceptable and we will look at the video and see if can identify students and they could be suspended. This is not the North High School we want to display to the public," adding that the principal from North High School heard the chant and attempted to intervene, although that is not on the tape. He also said that the school district has anti-harassment and verbal profanity codes and that what took place at the game violated both. Students say this is not the first time these types of chants have been employed. As an aside, South beat North 34-21.

A children’s book authored by the wife of anti-gay Standard of Liberty president Stephen Graham titled Chased by an Elephant, the Gospel Truth about Today’s Stampeding Sexuality is being stocked by over Wal-Mart stores, according to QSaltLake.com. Janice Barrett Graham says she wrote the book to “help shed the clear light of truth on today’s dark and tangled ideas about male and female, proper gender roles, the law of chastity, and the God-given sexual appetite, according to the book’s introduction. She added that “The number of our young people involved in sexual sins has greatly increased in recent years.
