Some seniors at Mona High Shores High School in Muskegon, Michigan say administrators stole the homecoming king crown from the rightful winner – Oakleigh Reed or Oak, a transgendered student, that according to Wood-TV. Assistant Superintendent Todd Geerlings is quoted saying that the issue is a simple one, since the ballots offered only two choice – vote a boy for king and vote a girl for queen, and according to Geerlings the 17 year old Oak is still listed as a female. Oak, who is an honour student, campaigned for one day on Facebook to for the title of homecoming king, earning an overwhelming majority of the votes, although the school now disputes the final results since they contend the voting was suspended. Last Monday, Oak says that the principal “told me that they took me off because they had to invalidate all of my votes because I’m enrolled at Mona Shores as a female.” The American Civil Liberties Union may take legal action on behalf of Oak, and his fellow students have launched another Facebook campaign demanding reparation as well as planning a protest October 1st. Meanwhile his mothers says “He was voted for homecoming king and, according to the votes, he should have been homecoming king, and it’s just sad, and it breaks my heart that all these people all voted and it was taken away, it was completely taken away from him.” Late Monday, the ACLU said it wanted to intercede on Oakleigh’s behalf, Jay Kaplan, an attorney saying that the incident “raises some concern about how the school has chosen to treat people based on gender.”

Adam Lambert, according to HollywoodNews.com, has had his second tattoo of an infinity symbol has been made into a pendant to be sold for charity, Lambert saying “My infinity tattoo really represents what life is like for me at this stage. It’s all about energy and the energy I get from my fans. When I am on stage and the fans feed me their enthusiastic energy, I am able to feed off of it and give it right back to them ... It’s all about the energy flow. With the money from this pendant going to Donors Choose, it will be a great help to the students in need, so thank you.”

Survivor: Nicaragua resident homophobe (and massive closet case) Shannon Elkins, who tried to out fellow contestant Sash during a Tribal Council last week, offers an awkward (and equally offensive) explanation, telling FancastNews.com that “I’m not a homophobe ... As far as the gay bashing, I didn’t bash any gays. I didn’t say, ‘I hate gays.’ I didn’t say, ‘Gays are stupid.’ I stereotype, my brother. It’s like the show Waterboy, people think we ride airboats to work, we have no teeth, and we wrestle alligators for a living. Well people from Louisiana think people from New York are either in the mob or gay. I stereotype like everybody else stereotypes. I was concerned that he was gay and I was protecting my butthole ... I don’t have to ask Sash if he’s gay. Look at the kid, he gay.”
