Lady Gaga Message On Failure To Repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, Spoilers On Wachowski Brothers Gay Love Story War Film Cobalt Neutral 9, Glee’s Chord Overstreet On Going Brokeback, Jodie Foster Comes To Defence Of Anti-Gay And Anti-Semantic Mel Gibson

Lady Gaga released a statement via her website on Tuesday Republican filibuster of the 2011 military authorization bill which included a provision to repeal the American military ban on openly gay service members, Gaga writing in part that yesterday “Was an enormous disappointment, for myself, and for many young American people. Not only because don’t ask don’t tell was not repealed by our senators, but moreover because legislative procedure is being abused to stop public business, public debates from happening while America is watching. There was a debate today, we just didn’t get to watch it. Instead, it has been customary now for antiquated procedures and partisan politics to take precedence over debate, America’s needs, and today, sadly, over the needs of US troops.”

New York reports exclusive details on the Wachowski brothers Cobalt Neutral 9 (known, informally, as the gay war film), the heroes of the film set far in future a gay American soldier named Butch and an Iraqi soldier turned militant – the two quite quickly falling in love (and lust; an actual line from the script suggesting the two engage in sex where “they rut like animals behind this fence”). According to New York “The two soldiers’ relationship blossoms, and Butch begins to get to know his lover’s family. But after he inadvertently draws attention to their ancestral home, disaster strikes. This tragedy radicalizes the pair and they become convinced that the only way to rid the world of evil is to kill the architect of the invasion, the then-president of the United States, George W. Bush. And so, during on the president’s secret sorties to Iraq, they attempt to assassinate him.”

Glee’s second season premiered Tuesday night (too little Brittany; too much Rachel) and introduced cute Chord Overstreet as transfer student Sam Evans. Evans, rumours suggest, will quite quickly become the McKinley High star starting quarterback, newest member of the Glee club, and boyfriend of Kurt Hummel. Vanity Fair tries to ascertain the truth from 21 year old Chord and although the magazine does discover the origins of Mr. Overstreet’s first name, when asked if he is willing to “go full Brokeback,” the clearly charming Chord replies “I have no idea. I’m going to say, no comment. I’m going to dig myself in a hole.”

Jodie Foster, who directs and co-stars in The Beaver, alongside anti-gay, anti-Semantic, and very angry Mel Gibson, tells More magazine that “When you love a friend, you don’t abandon them when they are struggling. Of course, Mel is an undeniably gifted actor and director, and The Beaver is one of his most powerful and moving performances. But more importantly, he is and has been a true and loyal friend. I hope I can help him get through this dark moment.”
