Gay Baiting Tea Party Perversion Christine O’Donnell Wins Delaware GOP Primary, Homophobic GOP Campaign Manager Stan Solomon Resigns, GLSEN Study Shows Almost Nine Out Of Ten LGBT Students Bullied, Harvard Undergraduate Victim Of Hate Crime, Coming Out Unleashed Ricky Martin’s Creativity, Tim Gunn Calls Taylor Momsen Sad And Pathetic, Penn Badgley Easy

The Washington Post on gay baiting, Tea Party endorsed, abstinence advocate Christine O’Donnell and her defeat Tuesday of nine-term incumbent Representative Mike Castel to take the Republican Senate primary in Delaware.

The Indianapolis Star is reporting that Stan Solomon, the virulently anti-gay volunteer campaign manager for the Republican candidate for Congress Marvin Scott has resigned. Scott, running against United States Representative Andre Carson, a Democrat from Indianapolis, said he accepted Solomon’s resignation. “I have offered an apology, if this offended anyone in the gay community,” said Scott. “I want to represent everyone. If I had known what he was doing, I would have fired him long ago.” What Solomon was doing was making comments on Twitter that were transparently anti-gay, including one that suggested GAY stood for “Got AIDS Yet?” Scott said of Solomon “I did not know he was such a gay basher.”

GLSEN – the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network - released a study Tuesday that reveals 85-percent of gay and transgendered students in middle and high school experiences harassment at school. GLSEN Executive Director Eliza Byard said “It could not be clearer that there is an urgent need for action to create safe and affirming schools for LGBT students. As our nation seems to finally be taking bullying more seriously, it is crucial that LGBT students are no longer left out of efforts to address this public health crisis.”

The Harvard Crimson is reporting that a male undergraduate was the victim of a hate crime and robbery Sunday, according to the Crimson “The student was walking down Garden Street from the Quad when three unidentified men began pursuing him and whispering homophobic slurs such as ‘fag’ and ‘queer.’ After chasing him onto a side street, the suspects demanded the victim’s cell phone and wallet, which they threw on the ground before fleeing the area.” The student – whose sexual identity is not known – was not harmed, and Cambridge, Massachusetts police are investigating.

Desmond Child, the producer of Ricky Martin’s newest record tells BlackBook magazine that he is excited about the project “because since he’s come out it has unleashed his creativity and the scope of what he can sing about and say and do.”

Tim Gunn is not a fan of Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen, telling E! News that while shooting a guest spot for an upcoming Gossip Girl episode, he found her to be “a diva,” adding “She was pathetic, she couldn’t remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself ‘why are we all being held hostage by this brat?’”

Tim, however, had nothing but good things to say about Penn Badgley, the beautiful Penn seen on the red carpet Tuesday in Los Angeles at a premiere of Easy A.
