Australian Green And Labour Alliance Aims To Introduce Radical Legislation Including Gay Marriage Measure, Ulster Homophobia, Cleveland Gay Games Continue To Implode, Tennis Hotness Ricardas Berankis, Ed Westwick Celebrates Copenhagen And Chest Hair, V Magazine Celebrates New York City, Coitus Brags Bananas Is Our Business

From Australia, reports that the Green Party intends to capitalize on their coalition with Labour to pass a same sex marriage measure as well as measures meant to liberalize the treatment of refugees through the introduction of legislation, demanding it be debate, with conscience votes in the new parliament. The alliance also aims to introduce radical environmental laws.

In Ireland, Tom Elliot, a candidate for the leadership of the Ulster Unionist Party, says he will neither attend GAA games or gay pride parade, Elliot stating “I have indicated at party meetings that whilst some members of our party would go to gay pride marches or GAA matches, I wouldn’t go. That’s a personal issue, but I hold no issue with any of those who would.” The party will elect the new leadership September 22nd.

The Cleveland Synergy Foundation filed a lawsuit against the city of Cleveland and the Federation of Gay Games claiming that the both bodies conspired to revoke the CSF license to produce the 2014 games. The lawsuit further jeopardizes the Cleveland Games, the FGG announcing that if a new organizing group is not formed by December, the 2014 games will be awarded to Washington, D.C. who finished second in the bidding.

Unfortunately, hot (literally and figuratively) 20 year old Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis lost his second-round U.S. Open tennis tournament in an amazing five set match.
