Toronto Mayoral Candidate Rob Ford Welcomes Endorsement Of Anti-Gay Pastor And Says He Supports Traditional Marriage, Supreme Court Will Hear Westboro Baptist Church Funeral Protest Case October 6th, Jake Pavelka Is Still Not Gay, Backstage Brazilian Male Model Casting, Scott Herman Steps Out In Speedo, Scott Evans GLAAD In Gingham

In Toronto, presumptive mayoral frontrunner Rob Ford has accepted the endorsement of Pastor Wendell Brereton, a former fringe candidate for mayor who dropped out of the race to run for council in the city’s Ward 6. Brereton, who is vehemently opposed to gay marriage, wrote on his website under a section titled “My opponents,” that “men who don’t truly comprehend the reality of the importance of the God defined family will dismantle the very ethical fibers (sic) of what a healthy democratic civilization is,” the pastor admitting that “line definitely was a reference to George Smitherman, yes.” Smitherman, openly gay, is married to Christopher Peloso and the two are raising an adopted son. For his part, Ford, who has had to fight accusations he is homophobic, said that he accepts the pastor’s endorsement, and added “I support traditional marriage. I always have. But if people want to ... to each their own. I’m not worried about what people do in their private life. I look out for taxpayers’ money.”

Attorneys for the Fred Phelps-led, Topeka, Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church will be at the Supreme Court October 6th arguing that the WBC protest staged outside the 2006 funeral of United States Marine Lance Cpl Matthew Snyder, killed in Iraq, was an exercise in free speech and therefore protected under the First Amendment, while attorneys for Matthew’s father, Albert Snyder, will argue that protests are in fact limited by the competing privacy and religious rights of the mourners. A United States District Court jury previously found in favour of Snyder awarded him more than $11 million in damages, which was later reduced by more than half. However, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the verdict. This past March, the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case.

Jake Pavelka told an audience at ABC’s The View Wednesday that “No, I’m not gay,” adding, oddly, “One of my best friends is gay.” Make it stop!

A male model casting call in Rio de Janero, shirtless, sinewy young men abound.

Scott Herman was seen arriving at the annual GLAAD Summer Rooftop Event in New York City wearing – what else – a teeny, tiny, tight Speedo.

Sexy Scott Evans, also in attendance, opted for a more event-suitable summer ensemble.
