In Los Angeles, County Sheriff Lee Baca announced the identification of the skeletal remains found in a deep ravine in Malibu by park rangers checking for marijuana plants were those of Mitrice Richardson. The openly gay California State Fullerton graduate, who would have turned 25 this past April, was arrested after she was unable to pay an $89 restaurant bill, booked, and released in the early morning hours of September 17th, 2009, from the Lost Hills/Malibu Sherriff’s Station without a car, cell phone, or purse.
