Zimbabwe President Mugabe Says No To Gay Rights, Unintended Homophobic Consequences Of Effort To Repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” Milwaukee Naked Boys Singing! Censorship Suit Finally Settled, Matthew Shepard Foundation Announces Colorado Ski Week, Beautiful Douglas Booth, Arthur Sales Smoking Sexy, Male Model Swimsuits, Kellan Lutz, Method Actor Ed Westwick Channels James Dean Channelling Brando

According to state media, Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe said that the country ignore calls for gay rights to be referenced in a draft of the new constitution. Mugabe said “We say no to gay rights. We ill not listen to those advocating for their rights in the new constitution.” Zimbabwe is creating a new constitution for elections to begin this fall. Homosexuality is illegal in Zimbabwe and the Gays and Lesbians of Zimbabwe face constant police harassment, two members of GALZ currently facing charges that the breached censorship laws after a police raid on their offices in May.

A report on the unintended consequences of the plan to repeal the policy of “don’t ask, don’t tell, and of the men and women of the American armed forces who are using their fear/hatred of gays to qualify as conscientious objectors and get out of active duty, a caller to a G.I. Rights Hotline saying that he considered homosexuality “an abomination” and to get out of service because he neither could nor would serve alongside openly gay soldiers.

A censorship lawsuit filed against the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin brought by the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of the Milwaukee Gay Arts Center has been settled. The Center’s productions of the Off-Broadway play Naked Boys Singing! was closed by police in August, 2005 after complaints about the content of the musical which celebrates male nudity were made as well as questions regarding the whether the theatre’s license had been properly paid. A city ordinance required that the theatre obtain a license approved by the Common Council of Milwaukee, who was not scheduled to meet until after the production was closed. The settlement, which included a payment of $20,000, found that the Center is exempt from the license requirements because it operates as a non-profit.

The Matthew Shepard Foundation announced that it will host Butte: 11 Matthew Shepard Foundation Gay Ski Week, the event scheduled to occur March 19-21, 2011 in Butte, Colorado.

Douglas Booth stars in the BBC drama Worried About the Boy in which he plays Boy George as well as starring in the upcoming BBC drama Christopher and His Kind, about famed gay literary icon Christopher Isherwood with Matt Smith in the title role. Booth is also busy working with Burberry on the iconic fashion houses campaign; the soon to be 18 year old interviewed about it all, including his portrayal of two gay characters, and photographed by Marcus Mam.
