Reported New HIV Infections In Canada And The United States Return To 1982 Levels, Seven Same Sex Couples Sue State Of Montana For Failing To Protect Them As Families, Porn Star Ex-Boyfriends Violence, Gym Teacher In New Zealand Fired For Being Gay Receives Settlement And New Position, The Adventures Of Foreskin Man And Dr. Mutilator, Even Ryan Seacrest’s Girlfriend Thought He Was Gay, Zac Efron And His Magical Hair

Thursday, delegates at the 18th International AIDS Conference heard that the number of reported cases of HIV/AIDS in Canada and the United States have risen back to the levels of 1982, the point in time when the epidemic began decimating the gay community. However, the 2010 numbers of newly reported infections are now increasingly IV drug users and members of visible minorities, specifically aboriginals and newly arrived immigrants in Canada and African-Americans in the United States. In Canada, in 2008, there were an estimated 3,300 new reported HIV infections, compared to 56,300 in the United States. It is, as always, to note the difference between reported and unreported infections.

The American Civil Liberties Union announced that seven same sex committed couples have filed a lawsuit against the state of Montana for failing to provide legal protections to same sex couples and their families in violation of state’s Constitution right’s of privacy, dignity, and the pursuit of basic necessities, as well as its guarantee of equal protection and due process. Thanks to a constitutional amendment passed by Montana voters in 2004 that bans marriage for gay couples, the suit seeks the protection of state-recognized domestic partnerships, akin to those offered in other states like Washington.

29 year old Aden Jaric has been arrested on charges of assault and harassment after attacking Jordan Jaric in the face with a paperweight after the twosome’s appearance at a Portland, Oregon drag queen contest last Wednesday evening. The two, stars of a number of adult gay films, separated earlier this year.

Middleton Grange School, a Christian school in Christchurch, New Zealand has been ordered to pay an undisclosed sum and offer an apology to a 28 year old sports coach it fired because he is gay. It was announced that the man, who remains unidentified, has been hired for the same position by another Christian school, Rangi Ruru, whose principal Julie Moor said the school was “very pleased” with his work. The man said that he had never faced any discrimination based on sexual orientation until being fired earlier this year, who, when questioned about his sexuality, was told by Middleton Grange principal Richard Vanderpyl that it might cause problems. “I never felt so shamed in my life,” said the teacher.

Just in time for Comic-Con, San Diego’s own MGMbill.org has launched ... Foreskin Man, an eight page comic book that spins the fictional tale of an in-activist superhero who attempts to save a young boy from being circumcised by Foreskin Man’s arch enemy Dr. Mutilator.
