Government Drops All Charges Against Lt Dan Choi and James Pietrangelo, Anti-Gay And Anti-Deaf Fliers Distributed Within Washington, D.C. Police Department, Maggie Gallagher Claims Government Throwing Court Cases In Favour Of Gay Marriage, Levi Johnston And Bristol Palin Announce Another Engagement

Prosecutors Wednesday dropped all charges brought against Lieutenant Dan Choi and James Pietrangelo. The two, both openly gay, chained themselves to a White House fence in March and again in April to protest the military ban on openly gay men and women from serving in any branch of the armed services. Choi and his attorney had subpoenaed President Obama to appear in court, but an attorney for the prosecution, Christine Chang, said the subpoena was not served. She declined to comment of why the federal government decided to drop the case.

Fliers that manage to mock both the deaf and gays are the subject of an internal investigation by the Washington, D.C. police department after the fliers were distributed at the Major Crash Investigation Unit this past Friday. They show two male employees “throwing” gang signs under the title “Celebrating D.C.’s First Deaf Mute Gay Marriage.” The flier – a paradigm of poor design and aesthetic considerations – then promises that the newlyweds will engage in “naked sweaty man love.” D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier offered no comment.

National Organization for Marriage’s Maggie Gallagher is mad, Gallagher writing an editorial on the recent ruling by a federal judge in Boston, Massachusetts that struck down sections of the Defense of Marriage Act, a law passed in 1996 that defines marriage as that only existing between one man and one woman, specifically that individual states can define marriage without intrusion from the federal government. According to Gallagher “President Obama’s Justice Department sabotaged the defense of DOMA. This was a sham trial, in which both parties attacked the law. The government attorneys under Obama charged with defending the law wanted it struck down.” She also references a ruling in the 19th century by the federal government forbidding the practice of polygamy as evidence the federal government can and must defend traditional marriage – because in her mind, dark and disturbed as it is, gay marriage is akin to polygamy.

Speaking of defending traditional marriage, reports that circumcised Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin are secretly engaged – again - and the couple who have a 18 month old baby boy named Tripp intend to marry are rampant. Sarah Palin reportedly does not know (well, at least, until now) and the young couple hopes that the failed Alaskan governor can accept her once and now future son-in-law. “It is intimidating and scary just to think what her reaction will be,” said daughter Bristol. “Hopefully she will jump on board.”
