Yellowknife Man Refused To Rent To Gay Couple Fearing The Wrath Of God, Magnitude 5 Earthquake Hits Central Canada, Gay Themed Youth Literature Rescues Publishing Industry, Clay Aiken Is Not On The Market, Jesse Tyler Ferguson Says Poignant Cam And Mitchell Kiss Coming, Ryan Phillippe Looks A Little Worn, Josh Hartnett Looks A Lot Hot

Scott Robertson and Richard Anthony told a human rights panel in Yellowknife that they signed a one-year lease on a residential building in the city, but the landlord refused to honour the contract after realizing the two men were a couple. The couple were subsequently left homeless for ten days, and have suffered anxiety and stress since the disagreement just over a year ago. Property owner Will Goertzen told the tribunal that he rented the unit to another family because he said he feared the wrath of God if he permitted gays to live in the apartment.

A 5.0 magnitude earthquake struck central Canada Wednesday afternoon, the effects felt from Windsor, Ontario to Montreal, Quebec, as well as several American cities. Reported damage was minimal.

Gay themed youth literature is saving the publishing industry, with traditional houses like Penguin and Random House seeing sales of titles like Will Grayson, Will Grayson soar, and a new genre being created.

Clay Aiken, asked whether he is single or dating, says “I am not on the market. I don’t know what I am. I am not looking, let me put it that way!”

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, appearing this summer in New York City’s Shakespeare in the Park, says that the writers of Modern Family intend to address the issue of why his character, Mitchell, and the character of Cam, played to perfection by Eric Stonestreet, have yet to kiss onscreen, an obvious oversight since the husbands are so clearly in love. “I am for progressive movement within the show,” says Ferguson. “I appreciate the passion that some of the fans have. The fact that there is even a campaign on Facebook just shows how many people really love the show and the characters and want to see them happy. I think the writers are proceeding in a very wise way. There’s a great PDA episode they’re writing about Mitchell’s issues with public displays of affection. Viewers shouldn’t be expecting a big, ‘Gone with the Wind’ romantic kiss. It’s very beautiful and poignant. The writers are so good, they’re really taking that criticism and they’re going to run with it and try and create a talking point with it.”

A “tired” appearing Ryan Phillippe spotted arriving at the Soho House in West Hollywood Monday trying to hide the fact he was so “tired.”

Josh Hartnett was seen Wednesday, the 31 year old looking, as always, smoking hot.
