Will The Chicago Blackhawks Accept Invitation To Chicago Pride, American Men’s Soccer Team Stolen Win, Balls, Channing Tatum Has Them And Will Throw At Least One Before Saturday’s Cubs’ Game, French Sailor Strips In Victoria

Andrew Sobotka, the president of the Chicago Gay Hockey Association, has extended an invitation to the Stanley Cup winning Chicago Blackhawks to appear June 27th at the annual Chicago Gay Pride Parade. If anyone at the Blackhawks organization has any intelligence they would make the appearance, given the unfortunate tone set by the team labelling Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger as “gay.” Sobotka, whose father Al is the famed ice technician for the Detroit Red Wings, says of the Pride parade “We’d love the Stanley there. We’d love the Stanley Cup and the whole team there. But we’re humble enough to take what we can get. We invited everyone in the organization. If we can’t get any players, hopefully we can get another member of the team.”

The United States men’s team came from behind Friday to tie Slovenia 2-2 in a match they should have won 3-2 if not for a deeply questionable call by a referee who could not or who not explain what they penalty was. Landon Donovan, who scored one of the goals and helped to set up the second, demonstrates sportsmanship at game’s end.

Tomorrow, Saturday, cuter than cute Channing Tatum is scheduled to throw out the opening pitch at Wrigley Field at the game between the Chicago Cubs and the Los Angeles Angels.

A French sailor on shore leave in Victoria, British Columbia stripped in public – twice – one in front of the captain of his ship. Police spokesperson Sergeant Grant Hamilton said that the local authorities declined to press charges because “the punishment a sailor would get from his commanding officer is much worse than anything we can do,” a statement seeped in sexual innuendo.
