Poll Reveals Majority Of Iowa Republicans Want Vote On Gay Marriage, Extremists In Rome Target Gays, Elton John To Perform At Rush Limbaugh Wedding, Male Model Hotness, Male Model Nude For Greenpeace, Cristiano Ronaldo And David Beckham Homoeroticism

According to the Des Moines Register, a new poll reveals more than three-quarters of Iowans intending to vote in Tuesday’s Republican primary say that Iowans should be permitted to vote on changing the state constitution specifically to prohibit gay marriage. One-third of those polled believe that Iowans have overreacted on the issue of gay marriage, and that a Supreme Court ruling in April, 2009 that ruled to invalidate Iowa’s statutory ban on same sex marriage remains a relatively low priority for voters.

The Guardian reports on the rise of right-wing extremists in Rome and their violence targeting gays and immigrants. There have been eight reported incidents of homophobic violence in Rome in a little less than nine month, including two attempted arson attacks against a gay club and an assault by four men on a city bus of a gay student and a black man. According to Paolo Patane, the president of the Italian gay rights group Arcigay, which is lobbying the government to make homophobia a crime, “young people in Rome who are joining extremist groups, and who are no longer being warned off violence against minorities, are increasingly deciding that such violence is legitimate.”

The Palm Beach Post says Elton John will be performing at the wedding of Rush Limbaugh and his Florida born fiancée Kathryn Rodgers Saturday night at the famed Breakers Hotel. The Post says for the performance John will net over one million dollars, John apparently unaware or in deep denial that Limbaugh is, at least publically, a noxious homophobe.
