In Madison, Wisconsin, a court ruled Thursday that a woman who raised two adopted children for six years in a same sex relationship is not considered to be their parent under current state law. District 4 Court of Appeals ruled that only the woman’s former partner can be considered the children’s legal guardian since the adoptions were made under the partner’s name. Same sex couples in Wisconsin do not have the right to legally adopt in the state, as a consequence only the adoption applicant can be regarded as the legal parent.

There are reports – unconfirmed by the White House – that President Obama and his top aides decided to fire General Stanley McChrystal immediately after reading the first few paragraphs of the now infamous Rolling Stone article, The Runaway General, White House assistant press secretary Tommy Vietor being e-mailed an advance copy. Politico.com reports that “the passage that really torqued the president, advisers say, was McChrystal’s reported contempt for U.S. allies in Afghanistan – especially the French – illustrated in the story by McChrystal’s reluctance to meet a senior official in Paris, a dinner appointment one McChrystal aide called ‘gay.’”

I am sure it has already been said, but the cover of the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly featuring Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner would be at home on the cover of any and all gay magazines.
