Determined To Demonstrate He Is An Idiot Mike Huckabee Suggests Gay Marriage Holds An “Ick Factor”

Mike Huckabee, at some point somewhat respectable, now simply reprehensible, is profiled in the newest New Yorker and in considering his chances in 2012, the former governor of Arkansas and failed Republican candidate for president in 2008, explains his opposition to gay marriage, straight faced as it were. “We can get into the ick factor, but the fact is two men in a relationship, two women in a relationship, biologically, that doesn’t work the same.” Later in the profile, Huckabee, according to the author, Ariel Levy demonstrates again he was not joking about the issue of gay marriage. “At times, he seems unable to resist the force of his own funniness. I joke with once that I would write about his (fictitious) affair with Nancy Pelosi. He e-mailed back, “The only thing worse that a torrid affair with sweet, sweet, Nancy would be a torrid affair with Helen Thomas. If those were my only options, I’d probably be FOR same-sex marriage!” Mike Huckabee, folks; he is here for at least another year and a half.
