Attorney For Anti-Gay Christian B & B Owners Says They Are A Lovely Couple, Anti-Gay Marriage Advocates Target D.C. Democrat Committee, Polish Exhibition Charts History Of Gay Love, Sean Haynes, Zooey Deschanel And Rashida Jones To Play Lesbian Lovers, Zac Efron Facial, Glamorous Nick Jonas, Nude Nick, Dolce And Gabbana, Sam Bradford

An update on an earlier post: according to Ronald Smith, the attorney for Lee and Susan Molnar, the Christian couple at the centre of a Human Rights Tribunal complaint filed by a gay British Columbia, who were refused accommodation by the two, owners of a bed and breakfast, because homosexuality contradicts their religious beliefs, says his clients are “just a retired couple ... who thought they would open their home to guest and here they are in the centre of a firestorm. They’re a lovely couple. They don’t want to be thought of as discriminating, but they’re Christians who don’t feel they can violate their religious beliefs.” The tribunal was scheduled to begin Wednesday in Kelowna, but was postponed after the attorney for the gay couple – Shaun Eadie and Brian Thomas – became ill. Smith says he will be arguing that under the Canadian Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms, individuals “have the right to decide what kinds of behaviours take place in their home.” He added that his clients closed the B & B after the complaint was filed in the late spring of 2009, and while “devastated” they fear that they will be asked again “to violate their religious beliefs.”

Anti-gay marriage advocates are apparently attempting to sway a straw poll to be taken this weekend in Washington, D.C. at the District’s Democratic Committee, residents in the area receiving fliers urging them to attend the straw poll vote “to send a message” to the candidates who supported the city’s recently passed same sex marriage law.

An exhibition in Warsaw at the Polish National Museum on the history of gay and lesbian love is being protested in Catholic and conservative country, weeks before it is open. The exhibit runs from June 11th through September 5th, and will feature male nudes and same sex couples as depicted in ancient sculpture and contemporary painting and photography.

Sean Haynes says he will not address covertly or overtly the contention by Newsweek idiot Ramin Setoodeh that the Emmy winning actor, openly gay, who stars in the Broadway revival of Promises, Promises, cannot play straight when Haynes hosts the 64th Annual Tony Awards this Sunday. Haynes says he will stick to the script; maybe.

Zooey Deschanel and Rashida Jones will star as lesbian lovers alongside Paul Rudd’s in the forthcoming My Idiot Brother, a comedy set to begin shooting in July.
