Trinidad And Tobago Politicians Practice Anti-Gay Policy Of Exclusion, World Health Organization Announces Alarming Gonorrhoea Infections, Sexy Imran Kahn Smoulders, Lady Gaga Britain’s Got Talent Impersonator Subjected To Violent Anti-Gay Threats

A 24 year old from St. James, Trinidad, who, for reasons of safety, uses the name Jody Seymour, speaks out about what he deems the “policy of exclusion” for gays and lesbians in Trinidad and Tobago. “Many people in Trinidad and Tobago are less vocal about their feelings for murders, child rapists and drug pushers, than they are about their dislike for gay persons.” Consensual sex between two gay adults remains a criminal act in T &T, and politicians avoid even mentioning the concept of gay equality, let alone build a political platform around decriminalizing homosexuality. That, says Seymour, contributes to the creation of climate where gays and lesbians are regarded as criminals, as social deviants. “It makes you feel excluded, like I do not have a right to be. But I do. I am a human being. My sexual preference does not make me less. And how dare my country say that to me! Why don’t the law makers say we are to be cast aside and unhappy because of our sexuality that they should not take our tax dollars? No they don’t say that, instead they just outlaw us in a savage manner and refuse to discuss anything for decades, as though even dialogue would be too much.”

On Thursday, the World Health Organization announced that gonorrhoea might soon become untreatable because of a rampant misuse of antibiotics used against the sexually transmitted disease. According to WHO, not only are the less expensive first-line medications for gonorrhoea are now less effective as antimicrobial resistance in the disease spreads, but cephalosporin, regarded as the third and last-line drug used in treatment, is also quite quickly becoming less effective. Dr. Shin Young-soo, the World Health Organization regional director for the Western Pacific, said “we are dealing with a serious issue with the implication that gonorrhoea may become untreatable. This will have a major impact on our efforts to control the disease and will result in an increase in serious health-related complications.” The Centers for Disease Control estimate that more than 700,000 individuals in the United States contract gonorrhoea each year, but less than half that number report the infection. Gonorrhoea increases the likelihood of acquiring and of transmitting the HIV infection.

Meet Imran Khan – a dreamy Bollywood star and the newest, next gay icon.

21 year old Max Oliver, a sales assistant from London, despite Simon Cowell’s objections, has made it through to the second round of Britain’s Got Talent, Oliver appearing as Maxxie, doing a version of Lady Gaga’s Poker Face. The performance was uploaded to YouTube, and there, Max quite quickly became the target of the most violent anti-gay attacks, some commentators suggesting that the “faggot” “die.”
