Arrest Made In Windsor Ontario Alleged Hate Crime
Police in Windsor, Ontario have arrested one man and are preparing a warrant to arrest a second man in connection to the horrific, violent assault on 26 year old Chris Rabideau early last Friday. The two suspects followed Rabideau for blocks from a convenience store to the lobby of his apartment building, robbing him and beating him badly because he was gay. Rabideau, who participated in the Windsor Pride march Monday, has a concussion, broken nose, two black eyes, and a badly swollen face from the attack, some of which was captured on the apartment security camera, which aided police in capturing the suspects. Rabideau said he is somewhat relived arrests are being made. “I want to see the face of hate,” he said, “I want them to look into me, and look at what people who hate people, and who are not sensitive to other people’s needs, what is does and what it looks like.”
