USA Hockey has created an internship program to honour the memory of the late Brendon Burke, son of Brian Burke, the Toronto Maple Leafs general manager of head of the U.S. Olympic men’s team. The internship will be open to any recent college graduate interested in pursuing a position in hockey operations. Brendan, who came out publically in November, 2009, intended to work within hockey to eradicate the environment of homophobia both on and off the ice. He was killed on February 5th, 2010, in a car crash in Indiana during a blizzard.

Another closeted athlete blogs – One in Eleven – a gay soccer player.

2010 Australian Open Diving Championships

Matthew Mitcham, seen above at the 2010 Australian Open Diving Championships in January, is the new, um, face of Australian men’s swimwear line Funky Trunks. He also the new face of forever cute, Mitcham spotted Tuesday in Sydney, Australia, attending a Lady Gaga concert, dressed as a unicorn, replete with feathery, white unicorn public hair.

Pop cultural provocateur Malcolm McLaren has died. He was 64. McLaren, alongside then girlfriend Viviane Westwood, forever changed the cultural landscape in the nineteen seventies, renaming their London clothing store Sex – it featuring fashion forward fetish wear, naturally – and then forming the Sex Pistols with four untested, desperate youths who would alter the music industry in a way that continue to resonates.

Kellan Lutz spotted at Los Angeles International Airport, a study in cool casualness and /or a poster boy for those with a foot fetish.

Taylor Lautner spotted in Paris, France, again alongside his big, burly father, still smoking sexy.

Channing Tatum, newly moustachioed, spotted on the set of his new film co-starring Katie Holmes, Son Of No One, Tatum bulging in all the right places.
