Stars On Ice Says Weir Was Not Excluded Based On Sexual Orientation, Mexican Singing Star Would Rather Her Child Die Than Be Raised By Two Dads Or Two Moms, Republican J.D. Hayworth An Embarrassing Idiot, Mad Men’s Rich Sommer Takes The Stage Naked, Does Anyone Really Care Who Plays Captain America, Male Model Portraits, Celebrating Arthur Sales

Stars on Ice Monday announced that the suggestions Johnny Weir was not invited to be in the cast of Stars on Ice because of his perceived sexual orientation are not true. “We are disappointed that there is untrue and inaccurate information being disseminated,” reads the statement, adding “please be assured that the ‘gender identity and sexual orientation’ of cast members have never been a consideration in the selection of tour performers.” The announcement arrives as GLAAD, who initiated an online petition last week, says it was told by an anonymous source that Weir was banned from the ensemble cast because he was not “family friendly.”

Mexico singing star Paquita la del Barrio said in an interview that she was violently opposed to gays adopting, saying she would rather see her child die in the streets that be raised by gays. The 62 year old said that those children raised by same sex couples would not know whom to call mother and whom to call father.

Representative J.D. Hayworth, a Republican who is challenging Senator John McCain for the state senate, who is not projected to win, has tried to position himself as the Conservative’s conservative, and towards that end it vehemently opposed to gay marriage, supporting a federal amendment that would define marriage as that only existing between a man and woman. Sunday, he gave an interview to radio station WORL in Florida and Heyworth, sounding the same tired note that gay marriage is a slippery slope towards bestiality and polygamy. “You see,” said Hayworth,” the Massachusetts Supreme Court, when it started this move toward same-sex marriage, actually defined marriage. Now get this, it defined marriage as simply, quote, ‘the establishment of intimacy.’ Now how dangerous is that? I mean, I don’t mean to be absurd about it. But I guess I can make the point of absurdity with an absurd point. I guess that would mean if you really had affection for your horse. I guess you could marry your horse.”

I have no idea why, but Mad Men’s Rich Sommer (Harry Crane) appeared at the always entertaining Upright Citizens Brigade theatre in New York City, um, nude.

At this point, does anyone really care who is cast as the lead in Captain America? A movie with this much pre-production faux-hype – Channing Tatum! Ryan Phillippe! – is bound to be bad.

A series of photographs – portraits – of some of the fall’s smoking sexy male models.

A celebration in honour of Arthur Sales and his L’Officiel Hommes cover and two hundred page editorial work, held in New York City, a bevy of beautiful boys including Sales making the evening a memorable one.
