Repeal Of American Ban On Gays Serving Openly In Military To Take Years, Despite Violence France Anti-Homophobic Kiss-In Staged, Private American University Inadvertently Suggests Gays Disabled, South African Is Mr. Gay World, Ryan Kwaten Is Sexy, Austin Nichols Is Closeted, Gerald Butler And Rodrigo Santoro Date, Guys with iPhones Fun

According to reports, the two American military officials assigned to head a yearlong internal assessment of attempts to repeal in full the policy banning gays from serving openly, but that repeal, whatever form it eventually assumes, is likely years away. However, efforts to eliminate “third-party outings” are allegedly at the top of the list when General Carter Ham and Pentagon General Counsel Jeh Johnson meet again in mid-March.

Despite threats of violence, an anti-homophobic “kiss-in” took place in Paris, France Sunday. The event, a peaceful protest, was originally scheduled to take place in front of Notre Dame Cathedral, but a number of Christian extremists threatened “to defend” their faith against the attack, so the site was changed to the nearby Saint-Michel fountain, where reportedly thirty couples kissed. A small breakaway group of those moved to Notre Dame to continue the “kiss-in” where they met by at two hundred Christian zealots who, despite a heavy police presence, began attacking the gay couples.

A private university that has a historic connection to the Presbyterian Church will allow gay students to have a formally recognized group, but sexual orientation cannot be a part of the title and the organization cannot be exclusive. Administrators at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, and students reached a compromise, the LGBTQ group - Spectrum Alliance – must operate as a social justice organization, “its mission includes issues pertaining to various groups including LGBT, the disabled and other groups/students in need of understanding and support.”

Congratulations to the very cute Charl Van den Berg, the 28 year old South African named the 2010 Mr. Gay World. The second annual competition, held in Oslo, Norway over the weekend, saw 26 year old Xiaodai Muyi from China placing fourth, despite efforts by China to prevent the contestant from appearing.

Ryan Kwaten is featured on the March issue of August magazine, the 33 year old True Blood star suitably sexy.

Sophia Bush and her One Tree Hill co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal boyfriend Austin Nichols, spotted attending the Alice + Olivia 2010 fall and winter show as a part of New York Fashion Week.

Gerald Butler, in Rio de Janeiro, spotted on a date with Brazilian beauty Rodrigo Santoro.

A Happy Valentine’s Day greeting that comes courtesy of Guys with iPhones and a creatively endowed gentleman.(NSFW)
