Anderson Cooper was casually outed by the National Enquirer Wednesday, the weekly posting an exclusive story about Cooper and his intention to adopt a Haitian orphan, a response to the suffering he’s seen covering the Haitian earthquake. “The silver-haired journalist and his hunky boyfriend, Ben Maisani, plan to raise the child together in their recently purchased home,” the Enquirer quotes a long-time as saying, adding that “the death and destruction in Haiti made Anderson realize what’s really important. He and Ben have decided to become dads. Ben is the best thing that’s ever happened to Anderson. They both feel they’re ready for a baby.”
Julianne Moore talks to Blackbook about the “de-gaying” of A Single Man, Moore saying of the Tom Ford directorial debut that it transcends the idea of being a gay story. “The minute you start to reduce something by saying ‘It’s gay,’ or ‘It’s straight,’ it becomes niche. You ghettoize it by saying that it only belongs in one place. That’s what’s so remarkable about A Single Man. It’s really about love and loss – period.”
