Fort Worth Proceeds Prosecuting Rainbow Lounge Victims, Proposition 8 Proponents Argue Gay Marriage Will Lead To Bisexual Group Marriages, Ben Gardiner, Adam Lambert Talks Drug Use, Tim Urban Uber-Hot Body, More Mystery Blond Male Model, Nude Chad White For D&G, Prince Harry

Wednesday, Fort Worth, Texas prosecutors decided to proceed with criminal charges against Chad Gibson and George Armstrong, two of the men involved in the botched raid by local and state officials June 28th, at the Rainbow Lounge, a city gay bar. Gibson was badly injured and was hospitalized for a week. After an internal investigation two of the agents for the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission were terminated for violated procedures, while three of the Fort Worth officers involved were suspended, and Jeff Haldstead, city police chief, has repeatedly said that the officers were mistaken to raid the newly opened bar, that they were disrespectful to the patrons, and that their force was aggressive. Adam Seidel, the attorney for both men, said “the city’s message has been, ‘Let’s learn from this and move forward and get past it.’ That doesn’t seem to be consistent with prosecuting these two victims.

Chief Justice Vaughn Walker, in preparation for closing arguments at the federal trial challenging the constitutional validity of California’s gay marriage ban, requested both sides file briefs summarizing their evidence, and Friday the opponents of gay marriage added arguments to their case. Inexplicably, the defendants claim that if gay marriage is legal it will afford bisexuals an argument for group marriages, as well as encourage fathers to abandon their children.

A memorial service was held Saturday in San Francisco for Ben Gardiner, who died in January at the age of 88. Mr. Gardiner, a Harvard graduate who fought at the Battle of Bulge, was a gay activist, whose work creating a nation-wide HIV/AIDS information computer bulletin board was instrumental in generating a public conversation about the disease in the 1980’s at a moment in history when HIV/AIDS was grotesquely misunderstood.

Adam Lambert is interviewed by the British tabloid News of the World, and says “I am a pretty open-minded person and I would have sex with a woman,” and that “there are certain drugs out there that are really fun and recreational and can mean a good time.” He adds that the supposed sexually charged performance at the American Music Awards last November was in part a reply to Out magazine for suggesting that Lambert had a responsibility to be out and proud, Lambert saying “I was thinking: ‘Is this gay enough for you?’”

Meanwhile, American Idol suffers through its worst season ever, with no one of interest or talent, and Vote For The Worst has taken up the cause of Tim Urban, kicked off, but then returned, who cannot sing at all, but who does have a smoking sexy body, an asset that Vote For The Worst believes will take him to finals should tweens get aboard the Tim Urban train.
