Testimony Given Friday At Proposition 8 Trial That Gay Is Inherent Characteristic, Bruce LaBruce, Amazing Race Gay Baseball Fan Contestant, David Henrie New Spiderman, Guys with iPhone Fun, Bruce Weber For YSL

Friday, testimony at the federal trial challenging the constitutional validity of the California gay marriage ban – Proposition 8 – centered on the argument that homosexuality is inherent, therefore gay men and women should be considered a minority group subject to discrimination and should be a protected class as a consequence. Gregory Herek, a University of California at Davis psychology professor stated that research tends to prove the theory that homosexuals have no choice in the orientation and preferences, a position that an attorney for Proposition 8 took nearly five hours trying to refute. Howard Nelson Junior spent most of Friday afternoon trying to get Herek that most gay men and women opt for their sexual preferences at different stages of their lives, Herek retorting that most gay men and women do not process their sexuality till after their teenage years, society placing an emphasis on heterosexuality at the expense of homosexuality.

The deeply original Toronto/Berlin based Bruce LaBruce, on L.A. Zombie, his newest work, being a provocateur, and posits that the gay movement has become so staunchly conservative that porn is “one of the last refuges of radical gay expression.”
