Malawi Lawyers Seek Repeal Of Homosexuality Laws, Proposition 8 Trial Testimony From Four Plaintiffs, Utah Lawmakers Unlikely To Oppose Anti-Discrimination Ordinance, Alexander Skarsgard Lunches With Boyfriend, Chris Colfer A Tee Shirt And Jeans Guys, Chris Folz Uncut

Attorneys for the two Malawi men arrested and held in custody after marrying in a traditional ceremony filed papers Monday requesting a review of the nation’s law criminalizing homosexuality. Noel Supedi, making opening arguments, said in court that the couple’s arrest on the basis solely of their perceived sexual orientation was tantamount to “discrimination, a violation of their rights to freedom of expression, conscience and expression as enshrined in our republican constitution. Our prayer is for a constitutional review of the laws in the penal code that criminalise homosexuality in the country and are inconsistent with the constitution.”

An update on the opening day of the federal trial challenging the constitutionality of Proposition 8, the voter amendment that effectively eliminated the right of gay men and women in California to marry, with testimony from the two couples who brought the suit against the state – Sandy Stier and Kristen Perry, as well as Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo - the four plaintiffs telling the court their stories of coming out and well as frustrated attempts to marry.

The Utah Legislation appears unlikely – or unwilling – to oppose an historic anti-discrimination ordinance passed by the Salt Lake City Council, but lawmakers concede it is as unlikely the policies – which protects gays and the transgendered from facing employment and housing discrimination – will be adopted state wide, at least during the 2010 legislative session.

Gay rights activists in Buffalo, New York are planning a mass protest and rally, following a number of reported gay bashings in that city since the beginning of the year.

Alexander Skarsgard lunches in Los Angeles Monday with a mystery male.

Chris Colfer talks fashion with H magazine.

Curiously cute Chris Folz caught wearing a pair of teeny, tiny, tight, and white Calvin Klein designed swim trunks, being all water sporty for VMAN, appearing in part four of a Doug English series.
