Defense Attorney In Proposition 8 Trial Suggest Will And Grace Sign Gays Do Not Face Discrimination, Jorge Mercado Murderer Found Fit To Be Tried, Pat Robertson Insists Devil Did Haiti Earthquake, Martin Scorsese For Chanel, Calendar Crazy, Jockstrap Television

Proposition 8 defense attorney David Thompson, in an effort to rebuke testimony given Tuesday by Yale historian George Chauncey, who presented a portrait of the historic discrimination against gays and lesbians in the 20th century, employed pop cultural markers Brokeback Mountain, Philadelphia, and Will and Grace to emphasis what he contends has been a critical change in social attitudes towards homosexuals in the last twenty years. Chauncey replied that while “there has been a shift in public opinion and growing support for gay people,” gay men and women “continue to encounter enormous hostility.” Later Wednesday morning, Chauncey was shown a letter authored by energetic Proposition 8 proponent William Tam, written during the campaign in 200 that compares same sex marriage to legalizing sex with children, the Professor stating that “this is consistent in tone with a much larger history of anti-gay rhetoric.” Tam, who gave a deposition via video tape, is expected to be called as a witness by the plaintiffs this Friday.

Juan Jose Martinez Matos, who is accused of murdering 19 year old Jorge Steven Lopez Mercado in November, has been found competent to stand trial, despite an attempt by his defense team to suggest otherwise.

Not surprisingly, Pat Robertson, veteran violent hate-mongering pretend Christian who always appears as though he should be dead, insists that the Haitian earthquake was brought about because of the country’s “pact to the Devil.”

Martin Scorsese filmed an advertisement for Chanel in the sometimes insufferable Williamsburg neighbourhood of Brooklyn, New York.

A reminder of just how gay a show Spike TV's Blue Mountain State is. Literally.
