Los Angeles Episcopalians Elect First Female Bishop, Scott Thompson Cured Of Cancer, Adam Lambert To The View, Eminem Idiocy, James Franco Performance

The Los Angeles Episcopal Diocese elected its first female bishop Friday, the Reverend Diane M. Jardine Bruce of St. Clement’t-By-The-Sea parish in San Clemente, and is likely to elect it’s second openly gay bishop Saturday.

Scott Thompson, the Kids in the Hall out one, was diagnosed with cancer this past spring, large B-cell non-Hodgkin’s gastric lymphoma, and the 50 year old Thompson candidly discusses the disease, the upcoming Kids in the Hall eight part murder mystery Death Comes to Town, and how he finds inspiration in NHL great Saku Koivu.

Adam Lambert will appear on The View Thursday, December 10th, in a pre-taped interview, plus a performance, ABC confirming late Friday. GLADD – the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation – which has issued three statements in two days, issued a fourth, saying that “ABC has taken a step towards fairness by inviting Adam Lambert to perform on The View. GLADD has been advocating against the double standards that have been applied to Lambert as an openly gay performer. We thank community members and allies for voicing their concerns with ABC so that entertainers like Adam have the opportunity to be broadcast into living rooms across America.” In case you’re somewhat confused, and why would you not, Lambert’s live appearance on Dick Clark’s Rockin New Years Eve is still cancelled.

Prescription drug addict Eminem is still a hate-filled self-loathing homophobe, and not as clever as he thinks he is, attacking the aforementioned Lambert, Clay Aiken, and Lance Bass in a new song – Elevator – that was leaked late Thursday, taken from his upcoming album.

James Franco, writing as James Franco, posits General Hospital and performance art. I think.
