Dance Troupe Tackles Internalized Homophobia, Ian McKellen On Being Closeted, Lady Gaga, Clay Aiken Surprises San Jose Fans

A review of To Be Straight With You, a new production from England’s DV8 Physical Theatre that played at UCLA’s Royce Hall on Friday, the performance examining homophobia in the Third World and the Middle East.

Ian McKellen says that there existed a time when the closeted actor felt that living a secret life was like being a “Jew in central Europe during a certain period. It was horrible.”

Is Lady Gaga the new Madonna?

On Friday, Clay Aiken made a surprise appearance at a David Foster concert in San Jose, California, the homemade video wonky and not too wonderful, nonetheless Aiken sings one of his most memorable American Idol performances – Unchained Melody.

Brian,

There are three videos (so far) from Clay Aiken's performance Friday night. The one in your blog is the best visually. The audio from the fuzziest video is tops!
