Mad Men is returning for its third season August 16th on AMC and this Tuesday the show’s second season is released on DVD in a special edition (it comes complete with a tie clip), and in something of a master class on cross promotion marketing AMC and Lionsgate (its production company) are collaborating with Banana Republic, Clorox, Vanity Fair, and Variety to create a campaign either a reflection of Mad Men’s cultural resonance or the most perfect proof of irony.
The only either show I am remotely as interested in is of course Ryan Murphy’s Glee, so great, like Mad Men, impossible to define and equally impossible to ignore, and there are some small spoilers for the upcoming season, its first, set to premiere Wednesday, September 16th, on FOX! My new fall catch phrase by the way – Glee Please!
