Embattled Portland, Oregon Mayor Sam Adams will not, thankfully, face criminal charges in connection to an alleged affair that apparently was comprised of two separate kisses, Adams had with Beau Breedlove, a then seventeen year intern. According to State Attorney General John Kroger, no independent evidence corroborating could be found to support Breedlove’s claim.
The Governor of South Carolina, Republican Mark Sanford, has been missing since Thursday, and even his wife cares not. Seriously, she, along with his constituents, are not concerned, although late Monday he was apparently located,in or around the Atlanta, Georgia area.
A plea deal has been brokered in the alleged assault case involving Chris Brown and then girlfriend Rihanna, the singer agreeing Monday to plead guilty to a felony charge in exchange for either six months in jail or community labor.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said Monday he will not run for the Governor of California, and will instead concentrate on the immediate duties at hand in terms of running the city. The announcement comes a week or so after it was revealed that the Mayor had been having a affair with a local newscaster, and leaves only two main candidates for the Democratic leadership – Attorney General Jerry Brown and San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, both of whom work tirelessly on behalf of gay rights in the state, in particular on overturning Proposition 8.
