Rufus Wainwright – whom I may or may not have a long time ago in a snowy Toronto, late January, spent a romantic moment of sorts in a suite at the Four Seasons – talks to Interview magazine about his new opera, Prima Donna to debut this July in Manchester, England, and whether the original work was inspired at all by one Madonna, about Norma Desmond, and the pros and cons of seeing art high or not high, succinctly answering for me whether Rufus has changed in the last ten years.
Purported prima donna Adam Lambert, in addition to attending Sunday evening’s Young Hollywood Awards and revealing a new hair style, said that “all your questions will be answered,” presumably referencing his soon to seen Rolling Stone cover and accompanying story where he will finally, one hope and prays, put an end to the seemingly endless speculation as to whether he is or is not gay. To be honest, at this moment time, I have stopped caring, but then my sense of suspense is limited, and I think I might have guessed the answer sometime ago.
Another now once was remotely interesting, is now sort of annoying, the on again, off again, back on again relationship of last year’s loveliest lesbian couples, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, with reports that the twosome are on again. A nation waits anxiously.
A couple definitely done – Twilight hotness Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez, Selena confirming the two are no longer am item.
