Gene Simmons Says Adam Lambert Should Have Not Come Out, Michael Urie Won’t Come Out, Gays On Daytime Drama, Josh Duhamel, Chace Crawford’s New Do

Gene Simmons, yes, that Gene Simmons, in a new interview with Inside TV Blog, promoting the new season of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, that admittedly I watched only till realizing son Nick was not – contrary to rumors – gay, suggests in said interview that owing to the climate of homophobia prevalent beyond the Los Angeles city limits, Adam Lambert should have never come out, and in doing so, Simmons suggests, effectively compromised what could have been a career as big as the Beatles. Gene, who, along with Kiss, performed memorably with Lambert on American Idol, says he “would be the first one to vote for equal rights for gay women and men, and get the church and the state to stop telling everybody how to lead their lives.” I could editorialize at this point, plenty, but I trust my readers.

Michael Urie, marvelous, mischievous, and resilient Michael Urie talks to New York magazine’s Tim Murphy and explains the whys and wherefores influencing his decision not to come out, preferring to teeter along the edge of ambivalence, rather than draw attention to his sexual preference.

Perhaps, just perhaps, Michael believes in the adage about a picture saying more than words ever could, Mr. Urie pictured here at Sunday’s New York City Pride Parade along side two of my favorite sexy and out men, Scott Nevins and Randy Jones. According to reports, the daytime drama One Life To Lives’ venture in territory best deemed the gay has already claimed causality, Patricia Mauceri, a fourteen year veteran of the show fired because she expressed a concern and an unwillingness to participate in a story line involving a gay character. Mauceri has attempted to push back from the story, insisting that she is not homophobic, but rather her “character” is.

Deadly dull Josh Duhamel tells anyone who will listen that the infamous nude pictures of the circumcised Duhamel, taken in 2006, were not that big of a deal. See, again, I could editorialize and point out the obvious puns, but I trust my readers and am better than that.

The decidedly not deadly dull Chace Crawford, dreamy, delicious, and, from what I hear, delightful, returned to Manhattan set of Gossip Girl Monday, back at work for the upcoming season three, Mr. Crawford sporting a new, sexy hair style, one that is, um, let us be honest, is several shades of gay.
