Will Congress Broker Gay Marriage Debate, Carrie Prejean To Lose Crown, David Ogden Stiers Proudly Gay, Kiefer Sutherland Scuffle, Wolverine Gayety

Lost in the euphoria of Tuesday’s near unanimous passing of legislation in Washington, D.C. that will see that city formally recognize same-sex marriages preformed in other states that approve them, were two important points, each connected: the deafening silence by both the Democratic and Republican Party, and the little reported reminder that Congress by law oversees the city’s law, consequently gay marriage – an issue that neither party seems particularly able nor interested in entertaining – may well be find itself in both Party’s national agenda.

California pageant spokesperson Roger Neal said late Tuesday that officials are attempting to determine whether Carrie Prejean is in violation of her year long contract for working with a Christian group that is avowedly anti-gay and for posing for vaguely pornographic pictures, Prejean posing in excessively heterosexual pink panties. The detailed document Prejean signed, dated November 20, 2008, prohibits her from making public appearances, appearing in commercials, or giving interviews with the expressed consent of pageant officials, as well as requiring her to conduct herself in accordance with the “highest ethical and moral standards,” and according to Neal, Miss Carrie is in violation of one or all codes of conduct, and should resign the title.

Gossip Boy had an exclusive in early March that no one seemed to notice, the Oklahoma based blog interviewing David Ogden Stiers best known for his work on M.A.S.H. as blueblood doctor Charles Emerson Winchester III, who came out, saying he is gay, and “very proud to be.” The entire interview, by the way, is as entertaining as it is informative.

Question: What was Kiefer Sutherland doing at a party for the Metropolitan Museum Costume Gala Monday night and why did he viciously attack designer Jack McCollough so hard he broke McCollough’s nose? The answer apparently is Brooke Shields.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine the gayest superhero movie ever? Discuss.
