Maine’s Governor Signs Gay Marriage Bill, American Civil Liberties Union Defends Michael Savage, Chris Pine Perfection, Half Naked Drunk Soccer Player

Maine’s Governor John Baldacci has signed the gay marriage bill - LD100 - passed Wednesday by the state Legislature.

The American Civil Liberties Union finds itself in the awkward position of having to defend American talk show right-wing lunatic fringe self-hating gay Michael Savage, after the British Government included Savage (nee Weiner) on a list of names that country has banned from entry based upon Savage’s alleged fostering of extremism and/or hatred. The ACLU, while not sharing any of the intellectually stunted ideology Savage enjoys expounded, does worry that the move is a obvious form of censorship, using Britain’s borders as a weapon, and an attorney for the group, Jamal Jaffer, said that while individuals like Savage express “views that others find disagreeable, often the cure is worse than the disease.” He added that censorship based on ideas denies citizens of one country the right to hear dissenting views, underlining in fact the semantics between speech that is free and speech that is simple hate.

Cute Chris Pine celebrated Cinco de Mayo Tuesday, as befits tradition, in Los Angeles by roaming shirtless through the city streets.

Defeated by Manchester United, Arsenal footballer Nicklas Bendtner went on a bender, to drown his sorrows presumably, and in the process came undone, offering a full on reveal of his Emporio Armani briefs.
